Progoff Intensive Journal Program for Self-Development

Standard Format vs Extended Format

Our goal is to help you attend a program that meets your scheduling needs. The length of each module (Life Context, Depth Contact and Life Integration) is typically 12 hours; the scheduling refers to how the hours are spread out, whether over a 2 day period or a more extended time frame.

Standard Format

The standard format as designed by Dr. Progoff is a two day program for each workshop module. Dr. Progoff’s goal was to provide a conducive atmosphere of progressive deepening away from your daily routine where you can connect at deeper levels with your inner process to realize greater awareness.

Over the course of the workshop, you can experience the momentum and energy that builds as you move deeper into the process. The sustained immersion in the process provides the opportunity for additional insights.

Accordingly, we recommend this format as the basis for your work in our program.

Extended Time Frame

Naturally, we realize that many people have scheduling challenges with the 2 day format and cannot participate due to family, work, or health issues. Others may value the opportunity to work in the process after each session. Some who have participated in the past have expressed a desire to “ease” back into the process through this alternative format.

Therefore, we are now offering Part 1: Life Context and Part 2: Depth Contact in 4 weekly sessions that are each 3 hours in length. Since our method is a cumulative process, it is important to be able to attend all 4 sessions.

With regard to Part 3-Life Integration module, we have offered this module either as a weekly or monthly program. The monthly sessions are especially designed to help you stay connected and continue your work in the method.

As you can see, there are tradeoffs with each format. We offer you the choice of formats, outlining the pros and cons of each, to help you make an informed choice.
