Help Us Realize Dr. Progoff's Vision
"Each person has the potentiality for accessing their inner being to experience a profound transformation within themselves."

Dr. Ira Progoff

Dr. Progoff had great faith in the potential of each person, regardless of their background, to discover within themselves the resources to develop their lives. In the 1960's he carried out this faith by creating the Intensive Journal method, providing an accessible self-development program for the average person at a time when few existed. Designed to be used by individuals of any educational or social background, the Intensive Journal method has since become recognized for its enduring effectiveness and value.

Together with our dedicated staff and cadre of leaders, I am committed to fulfilling my father's vision for developing the Intensive Journal method. Your contribution would help fund:

Affordable Public Programs Offered Nationwide

We offer more than 100 programs nationwide annually, giving you a conducive place to work in your life. Many are held at leading conference centers, including our extended summer workshop series.

A Powerful Tool for Social Change

The Intensive Journal method has great potential for social change as shown by the results of our workshops in criminal justice, job training and victim services.

Professional Development for Counselors

Dr. Progoff sought to instill a new perspective and philosophy in the counseling profession through the workshop experience. To encourage participation, Dialogue House is an approved provider of continuing education in many professional associations.

The Foundation for Integral Research

Organized in 1958, The Foundation of Integral Research (FIR) is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to the research, dissemination and advancement of Dr. Progoff's conception of holistic depth psychology. FIR's principal activities include funding Intensive Journal workshops; research, training and educational programs; and publication and dissemination of educational materials.
