| Location |
Xavier Center, a leading retreat center in
Morristown, is on the campus of the College of St. Elizabeth. The
Center is accessible from highways 287 and 78, Port Authority buses, and
trains from Pennsylvania Station (one hour). The train station is
adjacent to the campus. Alternatively, a specially-priced housing
option with air-conditioning is available at the highly-rated Madison
Hotel, adjacent to the campus, a 10 minute walk to Xavier Center. Pay
Dialogue House an additional $10 per night to the resident fee for a
double room or $55 per night for a single room. Limited space
available. |

Avis Smalley, a leader since the 1970s in
upstate in New York, is a retired child psychologist. Avis is the
director of the program for training leaders to conduct Intensive
Journal workshops. |

Intensive Journal workshops overseas in the Philippines. She
now conducts spiritual growth programs at Maryknoll Renewal Center in
Ossining, New York. |

The workshop will be held in Hamlin,
about 25 minutes northwest of Rochester, in a large airy house 50 yards
from Lake Ontario. Hamlin is accessible from route 19, north of
Brockport. Limited overnight accommodations are available. Local
restaurants are nearby. |
